European Association for Counselling

During this season of the year many people take time to reflect, to standstill and to send wishes of joy and peace around the world. Let us all take some time to think of those whose lives are in turmoil, of those who may be spending this season in fear, pain, impoverishment or other forms of suffering.

The European Association for Counselling exists to support its members in reaching out to those in emotional and psychological need and I know that many of you will be doing just that throughout this time of year.

May we continue to enrich our lives and our work so that we can touch the hearts and minds of others with love and care.

Remember too to care for yourself and avoid being swamped by unrealistic demands or expectations. This time is for rest, comfort, peace and joy. The midwinter festival reminds us that the light is returning…..

This is a special time of the year throughout the world and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for helping to make 2010 a special year for EAC.

The year that is ending is now but a memory, the time that has passed-by will never return so it is up to each one of us to help ensure that 2011 brings with it a time to develop the Association as much as possible. We each share and bear a responsibility for its growth in fellowship, membership and professional standards.

With all good wishes
